I am heartbroken to learn of Barbara’s passing. Though we met through working together, each of us in different countries - and only knowing each other from Zoom meetings, somehow a true friendship began.

Barbara was one of the most loving, caring, and special people I’ve ever known. Warmth, kindness and humor was in every conversation we had. I’ll always treasure the time we finally met in Dublin - I knew then I had a friend for life.

I like many, met Barbara through work, and she quickly became a great friend. When we first met Lyra was a tot, that didn’t like to sleep much. Barbara would be the first one in the office, with little to no sleep and always the biggest smile! She was so so happy to be your mum Lyra, and I had the privilege to see that again with Theo & Aria. You guys were her world! To all her family & many friends, wrap yourself up in your memories of Babs, think of her gorgeous smile and always positive attitude. X

So very shocked and saddened to hear about Barbara’s passing. She was a thoughtful and kind friend, always thinking about and caring for others. Always at the end of the phone or WhatsApp for a natter. Ironically she would be one of the first people I would reach out to for comfort on hearing such sad news. I will always miss our chats and feel very privileged to have had her in my life. From our visits in Clontarf, to work trips in the US to London and Surrey in the U.K. we have travelled and laughed, cried and shared many happy memories that I will keep with me forever. Babara, I can’t believe you have left us so suddenly.
From the first time we met back in 2014 at pregnancy yoga, you showed me what it is to be a brilliant, caring, kind friend. You knew I was new to Ireland, and a little bit lonely, and made such an effort to reach out and become a dear friend. You will never know how much that meant to me, and you will forever hold a special place in my heart 💖
I know this is your worst nightmare, leaving your precious children so suddenly. You adored them and they adored you. Your love will forever live on inside of them and family and friends will make sure they are cared for and comforted during this heart breaking time.
I’d do anything to have one more Starbucks with you, putting the world to rights. To hear one of your ‘podcast’ voice notes that always brightened my day.

We met Barbara about 2 years ago when we joined the gym and she was always full of fun and up for a laugh. She loved telling stories in between exercises!
