Barnicle Bridie

I have only just heard about the death of Bridie. I was a colleague briefly in Our Lady's School, Columbanus Rd with the Sisters of Charity. I remember her vibrancy and sense of fun and warmth . I wasnt surprised that she went on to Higher Education in Limerick UL and she was very happy there. My sincere sympathy to her family, friends and colleagues. May she rest in peace.

We're completely shocked that we've only just heard the news about Bridie...I spent two years sharing her home with her in Ashton, during which time I got engaged...we had such craic...she was one of the kindest , most generous person I knew ...our sincere condolences to all her family...rip Bridie...

Am deeply saddened by Bridie's passing. My commiserations to the family and her many impacted friends.
Bridie was a peritus in educational psychology; intellectually curious; academically finessed; gifted lecturer; sublime in working with students on school placement; astute; roguish in humour; and so fun-loving. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Bridie’s family and friends. She taught me, and innumerable others, how to teach. Utterly professional, she was an absolute topper in terms of guidance - sure-of-foot and steady-of-hand - an exceptional educator. Codladh sámh anois, Bridie.

I was very sorry to hear of Bridie’s passing. She was a truly lovely person, with a great sense of fun. I have fond memories of the times we both worked in the Schuman Building.

Bridie was a great colleague, always with a smile and a laugh. This is very sad news. My sympathy to her relations and friends.

I was so sad to hear about Bridie's passing. I worked with Bridie in UL and her expertise in psychology and education was valued by students and staff alike. Her lectures and school placement visits helped students to understand and put into practice theories and approaches to adolescent learning and special educationsl needs. Her work in these areas had a huge impact on teacher education.
Bridie was legendary. She had such a sense of fun and roguery and her hearthy laugh travelled the length of the UL corridors. Never to be forgotten. I was privileged to be your colleague and friend, Bridie. Thank you. May you rest in peace.
