Niamh,
I only just heard of Barry's passing and words fail me. I am so sorry to have not even been there to say goodbye and offer my condolences.
I will never forget the kindness and love you all showed to Anne my late sister during her life and I hope you all know how much she loved you all.
So to you Niamh, Colin and Lilia I just want to say how sorry I am for your enormous loss.

Dear Niamh, I am heartbroken for your loss. May Barry’s memory be a Blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Trish and I were deeply saddened to hear of Barry's passing. He was a reserved man, who quietly got on with things. Barry was passionate about motor cars and Formula 1, especially Eddie Jordan and his team. Barry served on the Board of the IVVCC for years and was of great service to the club. He would be either hosting a First Monday meeting or supporting whoever was giving a talk or organising events. Barry shared his knowledge about car maintenance with the members in articles published in the IVVCC Journal. He enjoyed being with fellow enthusiasts and was a generous man with his expertise. Trish and I offer our condolences to Niamh, Colin, Lilia and Barry's family and wide circle of friends. May the road rise to meet him...

Barry you were in the school when I arrived and you were always very kind to me. We soldiered in the classrooms for many years and we hit the white ball or tried to anyway on many occasions. It was always good to see you in the canteen following your retirement sometimes peddling your wares but always with a smile and kind word. So long Barry....Barry was a bass guitar student with me for a very short time, and a good friend. I was and still am in awe of his ability to build guitars, and even more of his incredible musical knowledge and collection. I am very sorry to hear of Barry's passing.
