Mike - sincere condolences over the death of your beloved dad - Barry. I got to know him through his residency in the Old Ground. He was ever present there - the staff and regular customers were effectively a second family to him. He told me that he went to school in the CBS with my old & kind neighbour - Michael Kenny who sadly passed away last year - in an era where no prisoners were by the teachers. He loved to recall the bygone days of Ennis from his youth. He also told me the cost of the home house when it was first built. You wouldn't get the front door for that cost now. Barry was quiet, unassuming knowledgeable and friendly to all concerned. He will be sorely missed by his immediate family, the staff and clientele in the Old Ground, friends and the old neighbours in Ard na Gréine. Barry was one of the old stalwarts of the town. RIP Barry.
