I’m so deeply saddened to hear the sad news. A scholar and a gentleman — that’s how I will always remember Barry. Just like all the Dolan children, Barry had that remarkable love of life and learning that left a lasting impact on his classmates and teachers at Derrywash.

I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife and children, to Maura, Steven, Cathy, and Maria, to his in-laws, and to all his dear friends. I can’t begin to imagine the depth of your loss. Barry’s kindness, curiosity and love of life will never be forgotten.

I have fond memories of Barry as a classmate at St. Gerald’s College and of all the years we played music together. He was such a gifted guitarist and a wonderful friend. Very sorry to hear of the passing of Barry. I hadn't seen Barry since we graduated back in '07, but I remember he was a very pleasant guy. Very intelligent and had a great sense of humour. I'm sure he was a great father and husband and will be missed. May his memory live on through all those he knew and loved. My sincere condolences to all.
