I was a patient of Professor Ferriss for many years. As well as being totally professional he was one of the nicest, kindest people that I ever met. He always went above and beyond the call of duty.
May Professor Ferriss rest in the peace that he so deserves.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Professor Barry Ferriss. I worked as his secretary in the CUH for quite a few years. He was a lovely boss and was always so kind. When I adopted a little boy from Vietnam he travelled to Fermoy to see him and brought him a Munster rugby shirt, the team that he loved. It was such a lovely gesture and a mark of the man that he was. I will never forget that kindness. Condolences to Harriet and his family and may he now rest in God's peace.
