Barry was our family dentist before his move to the Dublin Dental Hospital. I well remember that dental practice in North Frederick Street so linked with the Harrington family. His father, Kevin along with fellow dentist Gerard Berney established it. It was a historic spot and the waiting room reflected that, with its heavy mahogany table, its neat pile of collectors’ magazines like the New Yorker and other classics. Fond memories.
Go ndéana Dia grásta ar na marbh.

Laura, so sorry to hear of Barry’s death. We had connection throughout our lives through the Harrington, Berney and Harrington practice, Dublin Dental Hospital and personally as a cousin of my friend Paul. Sincerest condolences to the Harrington family on the passing of your dear husband and father. We, as dental students in DDH back in the 90s benefitted greatly from his teaching. He taught my class a module on ethics one of the years and his classes were thought provoking and I think genuinely made us kinder dentists. He was a force of nature, he had a real sense of fun but we knew to take the dentistry and the patients welfare seriously and not to compromise on that. He will be sorely missed. He was such a regular, friendly and welcoming face at a lot of the dental meetings over the years. Both the profession and the patients owe him a lot.
— Naomi Richardson
