So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Barry. We will miss his jaunting walk up and down the Crescent Hill. For forty years we watched Barry make his way up and down that hill, chatting to people along the way. He was chatty, friendly, knowledgable and always so courteous. We will miss him too at all those Faughs games through good times and bad. Always positive and optimistic even when disappointed. A Blayney man to the last, he was a constant there too and of course he wil be missed walking his greyhounds on the Mile Hill road, his other great passion. Our deepest sympathy to Barry's sister in law Mary, his niece Susan, nephews Liam, Mark, Gary, Enda and Paul and his extended family. May he rest in peace.

Castleblayney has lost a gentle giant of a man . A humurous and witty character - I have great memories of many craic's with Barry in the hotel .

I have very fond memories of my days in The Shebeen — with Barry around, there was no need for history books or Google. His lively debates with Liam on sport, politics and history were an education in themselves, and the banter we shared made it all the more memorable.

So sorry to hear of Barrys passing. Like everyone I have great memories of Barry. He was a good friend of my father’s and family. Many a memory of him sitting in Henry Street talking about dogs with Uncle Paddy. Recently he would reminisce about going to school with Dad and tell a few stories.

So sorry to hear of Barrys passing. Like everyone I have great memories of Barry and Des my (uncle) with the Greyhounds I remember driving a blue Mini that Des had at the time Des was in the front Barry in the back with the greyhounds going to Dungannon. All stuffed into a Mini"Tyrone Street " was a winner for them one night in Dungannon we had great celebrations. R.I.P.Barry you will be missed by so many as well as you beloved family .
