I met him at Glen of the Downs and in true Irish fashion discovered we had amutual acquaintance from my days in London. Barry acted as my confessor on that account and in best Barry good-humour.

We are very saddened at the passing of our cousin Barry. His warm handshake, hearty laugh, mischievous wit, keen mind and soft voice may have faded and gone but the memories are very much there. He was a great engaging conversationalist and had a genuine love for and connection to his relatives. I am happy that we got to see him for the last time and tuning in to his funeral service was a joy. Shane spoke beautifully of his Dad and I have no doubt that no one listened as intently as Barry! Our sincere wishes to all of you and please keep up the family connections as he would have wanted. RIP
