My deepest condolences to all of Barrys family on your loss.My abiding memories of Barry was in Keegans no matter who you were, you weee greered by Barry, adding "sir" or "Madame " to the customers name. An old neighbour of ours in Pairc Mhuire he often told us younger blades " dont go near Wallaces old house its haunted" Many years later he continued to serve the public at Moores Hardwear, telling the customers that he and other young lads his age growing up in Pairc Mhuire use to "swim in the watertower which shadowed Moores Shop" what a story teller. Rest in peace Barry, you were a great neighbour & Friend.

Barry (Friend), it was with great sadness that I learned of your passing when Lindsay called me. We shared many happy hours in your house telling stories, me having a glass of Wine and you with a (Large) Whiskey. One of our greatest moments was when we won the Owen O'Brien Trophy in the Curragh, mainly because of your connection with Owen, as his father and your father were the best of friends.

To sum up Barry you were exactly what everyone said, a pure gentleman!

Greg, Yasmin , Ivan and all the family, deepest condolences. As more than one person said at Barrys lovely send-off today, "I'd only want Barry to serve me" when they went into the shop. My memory of Barry was how he and Mary Stack kept staff and customers entertained, some days it was like we were in an episode of Are You Being Served. He brought joy to many.
