Bart and Jack came into our lives, as lovely Tour Guides, over the past few years.
What a pleasure to have known Bart, in that capacity and a lovely to deal with and so easy. He was so full of life and fun and made for the job! He had so many hats but we knew him in that role and as a lovely pleasant man. No doubt he made great memories of Cork for the Visitors. He also brought us cakes! May he rest in Peace.

My sincere condolences to the entire Bambury family on the passing of Bart. I have great memories of him from the years I spent at Colaiste Naomh Fionbarra. Aoife and family,
Sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad, Bart. A genuine kind, gentle man, always giving with his knowledge and time. Plenty of times I would meet him around Hayfield Manor and he always approached me for a chat. Many years ago I had the pleasure of attending Cholaiste Fionnbarra as a student for a numbers of very happy years of good company, laughter and fun. I then returned as a helper upon Bart asking me too and I must say it was a great pleasure and honor to be asked and return to a place that meant so much to so many. Bart you will be greatly missed, another great man who left a great imprint on life.

Deepest sympathy to Bart’s family on their sad loss. Treasured memories of Bart staying with our family in 19 Main Street Midleton over 50 years ago, when he got his first educational job. My dad, Sean O Farrell, being a Kenmare man offered him temporary accommodation till he got a more permanent one. Fondly remembered by all of us. RIP Bart

I first got to know Bart in Sept. 1960 when we started in St.Brendan’s, Killarney.
We went on to St. Pat’s in 1965. Our paths crossed on many occasions over the years but especially in the organisation of the St.Brendan’s Reunions.
Along with his many other interests,
he took on the onerous task of tracing all of the past pupils, right across the world. He got great satisfaction when he had success in that project. We owe him a debt of gratitude for his great work.He was also involved in the St.Patrick’s College Reunions of recent years. Great memories of Bart when he visited me almost every evening during my long stay in C.U.H.in 2018.
