My heartfelt condolences to Bart's family on his passing. I have very fond memories of when he worked in the Lavanagh Centre in Ballintemple. He always had a beautiful smile for everyone. He was a true gentleman. May your memories of him bring you comfort.

Barty was such a lovely man and always a wonderful presence in any room he was in. I can’t recall a time he wasn’t smiling and enjoying the company of others. He’ll be sorely missed.

Bart was a warm , happy , very kind and gentle presence in the residents activity room. He is missed by his many friends. Happy memories of competitive board games, his stories of Lourdes trips away, but most of all his contented smiling face.

So sorry to hear about Barty’s death. No doubt like a lot of other people we have great memories of meeting with him over the years, especially in Murphy’s house in Murmount, where there was always some class is a gathering or party taking place. Barty always enjoyed the company and the craic with these ocassions and always had a smile on his face for everybody he met. Of course he had some great notable “Barty Parties” himself for big Birthdays where the likes of Sonny Knowles and Red Hurley would be called up to “blast out” a few songs. Great days indeed. No doubt that those who knew him and loved him will miss him greatly.

We are so sorry to hear about Barty’s passing. He was such a kind and thoughtful man who always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Barty is one of my many treasured memories of growing up and playing on the old Youghal road. He always smilingly waved and said hello to all us children as he got off the bus at the top of the square. A bright light has now gone out in Harringtons square with the passing of barty.
