So shocked to hear of Batt’s passing. I only saw him in the street a couple of weeks ago. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

So said to hear of the passing of Batt. He was such a lovely man and he always brightened up our day when he called in to see us. He loved a chat and always had a story or two to tell, even a song. He will be greatly missed in Limerick a true character and a lovely person. Deepest condolences to his family and friends and may he rest in peace.

Batt was a very good friend of mine who I used to meet in Perys Hotel every day for lunch pre Covid. We had many great laughs at the stories Batt told, especially in relation to horse racing & music.
Batt will be sorely missed.

I have offered Mass for Bart and all of you in your loss of a good Christian -as were all his siblings. RIP.
Tommy and I soldiered together In CBS Sexton Street 70 years ago. I am sorry I missed their funerals with all the Covid confusion. I wish I could stand with you at Bart's Requiem Mass, but I am ill a the moment and in isolation.

I am so sorry to hear that Batt has left this world. He was an inspirational man, great friend, knew all there was to be known about Horses, but also was a wonderful musician and knew all the greats of classical music. We had lunch in Perys (Glentworth) Hotel every day (prior to Covid) and kept in touch subsequently. The last time I spoke with him on the phone, he ended the conversation singing a beautiful aria for me.
He was always in good form, dressed with everything matching and was the eternal optimist. Batt, we will miss you dearly and I hope you are happy now being reunited with the other members of your family. Rest in peace my friend.
