Bas(tiaan) lived with us in Groningen (the Netherlands) in our family when he was a 15/16 years old boy.

Our deepest sympathy to Jolita and the entire family circle on Bas’s passing. His innate decency and good humor were an example to us all... a proud family man, I never met him that he didn't have Jolita by his side.
I remember with great fondness the dealings I had with Bas over the years in Asia Market. He attended our Chinese New Year Night Market with an outstanding set up and array of food, with incredible enthusiasm, high spirits and intoxicating energy. What I liked about Bas the most was, he was always busy, always smiling and always had time for a chat and a bit of good quality banter. A true gent and was rightly very proud of what he and Jolita, had achieved with Sushi Mania. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.
