So sorry to hear this. Basil gave me my first job was my first boss. Nothing short of an absolute gentleman.

First thing he'd do was solve the problem for you,get you what you needed and then with a deviish smirk/smile on his face, he'd send you on your way with a jovial last comment as you headed out the door.

I learned with sadness today that Basil passed away last week. I met him two years ago in the Clifden Station House Hotel. We hadn’t met for a long time however he was full of fun,as ever. My sincere condolences to the Keane family. RIP Basil - a lovely man.
