Learning the sad news of Ben Kinsella's passing, evoked memories of Trade Union and Political campaigns back in the days when we strove for rights and conditions for all. Ben was a member of the Drogheda Branch of the former ITGWU in the early 70's when I became a member. Along with his fellow Trade Union activists of that time, he was steadfast and loyal to his beliefs and was influential in ingratiating me into the Drogheda Branch activities. Ben was also great company in a social capacity and I shared many happy occasions regaling and rejoicing in his humour and wit. It was a privilege to have known Ben.To his immediate and extended family I forward my sincere and profound sympathy.
