Benny trained me as an apprentice, he helped me in every way and taught me all I needed to know throughout those 4 years. I continued to work with him after I qualified and there was never a question I asked that he hadn't got time to help me with. If I got really stuck on a job at home he would come and do the job with me. He taught me the work ethic I still have today, we worked long days and long weeks. Everything Benny did had a sense of fun and mischief. Back in the 80s, my then girlfriend, now wife, would leave her bike in the garage while we went for lunch. It would be guaranteed to be gone when we got back. Benny always denied knowledge of where it was. On one occasion it was found on the roof of a bus. I ended up teaching Engineering and Benny is still my inspiration for how to pass on knowledge. My condolences to all his family and friends, I hope there is a Green Dolphin in heaven. May Benny rest in the mischievous peace he would want. Many thanks to him for all his help.
