Thinking of you Laura, Maura & Lorcan and all the family on the passing of Benny who was so full of life - the Legend - as you rightly called him!
From everyone at AMACH! & Teach Solais we wish to offer our sincere condolences on the passing of Benny. We will always treasure the memory of him playing “Somwhere over the rainbow” at the opening of our special garden in memory of our dear friend Sylva. Benny was a friend to our community and we send our love to all those who knew him. He was a man who displayed immense inclusion and friendship to our community and we are forever grateful to have known him. 🏳️‍🌈
I met Benny and Maura during my first jaunt to the old country accompanied by my Grandfather John L Sullivan. I won't bore anyone with the details of our meeting, I can only say that the man left a deep impression on me. During subsequent visits to Ireland, I would visit and Benny and his wife would be more than gracious hosts.

Perhaps I'm not eloquent enough to sing his praises better than I am, however, I'm happy he gets to see my Grandfather in heaven as I'm sure they have much to discuss.

I apologize for not seeing this sooner.

God hold him in His arms forever.
Sincere condolences Maura. Laura and Lorcan. So sorry to learn of Benny's passing.
Some wonderful memories of his time in Carlow.
Rest in peace Benny
So sorry to hear of the passing of Benny. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends. Many good times spent in Benny's company. May he Rest in Peace now.
Sincere condolences Maura and family on the passing of Benny. May he Rest In Peace.
Maura, Lorcan and Laura. So sad to hear of Bennys passing - what a man.... memories came flooding in when I heard the sad news of the many great nights we all had (even as we worked!!) in CJ's and beyond... great happy memories. As I think of him now I see the smile and the nod and can only think that he's up there now smiling down and shuffling around... telling stories of designing snacks in Carlow with the sugar factory and of the craic that was Salthill in times gone by...(and still is)... Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h'anam dílis'...
Dearest Cousins, after reading these many loving condolences, stories and memories about Benny from your many family and friends I would like to add our sympathies to Maura, Laura, Lorcan, Yvonne and all the family on the passing of Benny. We met Maura, Benny, Jimmy Joyce and family in the summer of 1983, only by chance, when my Mother, daughter Kelly and myself decided to visit Ireland. Didn't know anyone, but we had an address . 12 Middle Street, Galway. It was by the grace of God, (or a billion to one) or....it could only happen in Ireland, that we met Jimmy, then Benny, Maura family that day, that hour. I say by the grace of God. Immediately, we were welcomed with open arms and hearts by Maura, Benny, Lorcan, Jimmy, and Aunt Mary, my father's sister. Benny played his harmonica, shared stories about the family, sang songs, and gave me an album his brother, Christy, had made. It was amazing. We created a true , family bond that day, and there were letters, calls and visits to come on both sides of the pond ever since. Every moment together was and is cherished to this day. We will miss him. He was a wonderful man. Take care dear ones,
Dear Maura, Lorcan, Laura, & Yvonne, it is with great sadness to hear of Benny's passing a gentleman true and true.
Our sincere condolences to all of the O'Connor and Joyce famlies, niece's and nephew's extended families neighbours relatives and many many friends
Benny was a great character and such a genuine guy.
We have very fond memories of Benny and you Maura coming to visit us in Inchamore Coolea, in fact all of the O'Connor's the Galways as you were called in Coolea were so good and kind to our grandmother (auntie Mary) always.
We have some lovely good quality photos taken by Benny and Maura . You the Galways always had the best of everything. Cameras, cars, clothes, jewellery, make-up.
To us it was like we were being visited by the Ewing's from Dallas, and still your were all so down to earth.
It was such a pleasure to have known you all and a privilege to call you our cousins.
We have fond memories of all of you being together at parties at my sister Maureen and John Lydons in Bushy Park
I hope you are having a party now in the heaven's there will be no shortage of music, song, and storytelling

Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis.
Ta leaba i measc na Naomh tuillte aige.

Deepest sympathy on the sad loss of Benny. May he rest in peace
Deepest condolences to all the O'Connor family. I only met Benny a handful of times back when I used to work in NUIG tending to the grounds with Laura. You couldn't meet a more caring, loving person than Laura and having met Benny and Maura it's easy to see where she got it from.

A lovely memory I have of Benny is one weekend when he and Maura were away, Laura wanted to give them a new garden. So over the course of a weekend I gave Laura a hand to clear out and plant up their garden before they came back. They were delighted with the surprise and gifted me (which there was no need to do) a voucher for Charlie Bryne's bookshop, not long after this I moved to the UK and one of the things I brought with me was a bag of books which were much loved and appreciated.
Deepest sympathies to Maura and all the O'Connor family on the sad passing of Benny. He was a gentleman and always a pleasure to deal with throughout the years. May he rest in peace.

To Maura and family we extend our sincere sympathies on the passing of Benny. Having worked with Brennyon the interface between Irish Sugar and Erin Foods for years we can vouch for his professionalism in his “”day job”. Always pleasant and sympathetic to his staff and always approachable no matter what the problems were. As a colleague I know how well he was respected in the various company locations in which he served. He introduced me to Corinthians in which we shared many good times. He was devoted to Maura and the family who will miss him so much. Rest in Peace my friend.
