Karl, Barry, Sarah & Andrew, I was so sorry to hear of Berna's passing. I have great memories of Berna and Colm when we all lived in Churchfield. She was always a joy to meet and through the years she contributed greatly to Skerries in so many ways. May Berna rest in peace.

When I was growing up Carmel,Pat and Berna were my big girl cousins on my dad's side of the family. I have very happy memories of christmases and summers in their garden in Marino where they played with me and my sister Sheila. They were all kind and fun, but Berna always made me feel special. Years later when she and Colm got engaged they visited my mam and Dad, (Joe and Nellie) when I was there and Berna still had that innate kindness and twinkle of fun about her. I'm so sorry I couldn't be at her funeral,and send my sincere condolences to all her children and grandchildren and to my cousins Dessie and John.

Andrew, Sarah, Barry and Carl, I’m so sorry for your loss. Auntie Berna was such a wonderful person. Her love and energy and enthusiasm just lit up the room. She was definitely my mother’s favourite person in the whole world - Pat just adored her. I’ll never forget her at her 80th birthday - so glamorous and vibrant, being the consummate hostess, talking to everyone and dancing throughout the night. So our condolences to you all and your families, who I know meant everything to her. May she rest in peace.
