She was a lady.

I recently was in Waterford on a weekend break and called to her home to Learn of her passing, I was very saddened.

I stayed with your late mam & dad back in 98/99 while doing placement in FAS.
I couldn’t have been made more welcome and was always very well looked after, they were super hosts..

My sincere condolences to all of Bernie’s family. I am so sad to see this and know that I have missed saying goodbye to Bernie.
Bernie was the main lady in the kitchen on St Bridget’s ward for a long time. Nothing was ever a bother to her. She spoke so lovingly of her beloved Richard and her family. May Bernie Rest in Peace where Richard is no doubt waiting for you Bernie.

I got to know your Mam and your Dad in the course of my work. It was always a pleasure to meet them both.
May it help you all to be consoled in remembering with gratitude her strong and constant presence, at the centre of your lives/home and the love she bestowed on each one of her beloved.

She was such a special lady, and I have many cherished memories of summers spent with her in Waterford during our childhood. One memory I treasure is our trip to Venice - all she wanted was a Cornetto while drifting through the canals of Venice in a gondola. It sums her up perfectly- fun-loving, down-to-earth, and full of joy. Thinking of you all and sending love during this difficult time.
