Day's spent at the Cashman's, where your Mam made me feel so welcome, will always be special to me. That comfortable feeling she created for guests, is something I have always tried to replicate in my own home. I failed miserably of course, but she inspired me to at least give it a go. Hopefully she's enjoying herself now in the Biggest Best Guest House in the sky.

I had the great honour of being Bernadette’s carer on occasions, she was the most lovely, sweetest lady anyone could ever meet. I enjoyed our chats about the latest book she was reading & and on occasions she would give me some of the ones she finished. A beautiful lady and I will always think of her fabulous smile. To Ann, Mary, Bernie and Frank and extended family and Brown family i am so terribly sad to hear of your loss she was a beautiful lady and a massive influence in my youth spent most of my life in the cashman house i will always remember every selection box she gave me and everytime i would get a call to say “mum is making kedgeree tonight so said you’re to come down” ohh that famous kedgeree that i have now brought into my own family, she will be very sorely missed and remembered with the greatest of fondness, she was indeed “the wind beneath my wings”.
