My sincere sympathy on the sad passing of Bernie. I have good memories of contact with her from my days in the CIÉ Press Office. She was a real lady and a true PR professional, a great ambassador for Aer Lingus and always helpful to PR colleagues in other organisations. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.

I've known Bernie for nearly forty years and we worked together on a number of occasions when Aer Lingus had the Young Scientist competition. Bernie was a very popular personality at the Press Office and she was a rock of sense. So sad to hear of her passing.

Very sorry to hear of Bernie’s passing. We worked together during my time in Aer Lingus and she was always a valued colleague. May she rest in peace.

Such sad news! Bernie was exceptionally kind to me when I worked in the Press Office for a short while, and she was really wonderful; funny, clever, compassionate, generous, loyal. I have the very fondest memories of her, and I’m so lucky to have known her, and to have learned from her.

Bernie, I’m heartsick tonight and can’t attend your service as I live overseas now but I’ll raise a glass to your memory. Rest in peace. X

So sorry to learn of Bernie’s passing. Bernie was one of the first people I worked with in Aer Lingus. Back in her pre Press days she worked with Martin Dully (RIP). Bernie was always on top of things and even in those days had her opinion on most matters.

Her deep lifelong care for her sister Ann was even in those early days evident.
