Bernie was such a lovely woman, with great time for adults and children alike. She was so good to the children at our school and always talked so fondly of her own grandchildren. I know she was credited to having such a wonderful son. You have shown exceptional admiration, love and respect to her. Sending heartfelt condolences to all of Bernie's family, her partner Michael and her wide circle of friends. It was such an honour to work with Bernie in St.Brigid's school but an even greater honour to call her my friend. Her fun-loving character and bubbly personality was infectious. Bernie was brilliant at her job as a lollipop lady, she cared so much for all the children in our school and always had a kind word for everyone. I will miss bringing my class out to practice crossing the road safely with her but her presence over the years in our school will never be forgotten. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear the sad news about Bernie. Bernie was a Gem, such a lovely lady who helped the kids and the parents safely cross the road. The warm presence she displayed at the gate was remarkable. Katie Ann loved Bernie and has great memories.

Many mornings or afternoons, Bernie and I would have a good chat. I will miss these but will always remember Bernie when I am on Station Road. Condolences to all who loved Bernie Thinking of you at this time of great loss, but take comfort in knowing what an amazing lady Bernie was and how positive an influence she had on so many young people over the years.
