Dear family of Bernie we shared a 4 bedded room in st dominic ward nuig. Bernie couldn't be nicer to me. I was rushed in with very bad nausea I was vomiting for 2 days and as I was rushed I had not much with me to have a shower and she was so generous with her items. Its 3 am in the morning and I can't sleep and was saying a prayer for her and decided to look back in co Clare rip.ie not expecting to see her pictures. Sincere sympathy to the Ruane Family on Bernies passing. I was deeply touched when Bernie sent me a condolence when my wife passed away in March. Little did I know that I would not have the opportunity to thank her personally . She will be missed by more than her Family.

Sincere condolences to the Ruane and Lynch families. I first met Bernie when I worked in Shannon where she welcomed me to the school and signed me up to the TUI!
Years later we met again through her role in the TUI and her support was very much appreciated in the school Rest in Peace Bernie.

Bernie (although at the time I called her Ms Ruane) was my French teacher for 5 years. She was an excellent teacher who engaged with the students and always tried to help them.
