I was very sad to hear about my dear aunt. Bernie always had a sweet smile and a kind word for me. She brought up every room she entered, and not just in society. She understood the fine art of bringing that warmth and harmony to her own home. I know that because she passed on her charm to Mandy and Trevor (maybe Dermot had something to do with that, too). She lives on through them and through her beautiful grand-family. I hope Bernie gets a fitting send-off tomorrow.

We were so very saddened to hear that Bernadette has passed after such a long and brave fight. She was a great friend and support to us when our children were very young. We always looked forward to meeting her as she was so full of life, positivity and fun, and the best of a storyteller. Sincere condolences to Dermott, Trevor, Mandy and her grandchildren on the loss of a wonderful wife, Mam and Nana. Bernadette spoke of you all constantly and always with the utmost pride and love.
