Deepest sympathy and prayers to the Dromey/O'Kelly families.🙏 I was born a couple of fields away from Bernadette and have fond memories of her visits when I was a child. My mother (a local midwife and district nurse) was particularly proud of her achievements - she loved to hear of others achieving her goals too! May her gentle, caring soul rest in eternal peace in the beds of the saints.

Ber will be missed dearly. My family and I have such fond memories of her, Gerry and all the family. My earliest memory still brings a smile where she taught us how to play table tennis. She always had a warm greeting and a sharp wit which I'll always think back fondly on.

There are not enough words to express my grief at the passing of my wonderful friend and neighbour Bernadette.
My sincerest ,deepest and heartfelt condolences to you all Conor, Brian, Linda, Tara. Lyn, Philip and all your children at this very sad and difficult time.
It seems only like yesterday that we moved into Broadway Estate. Our children played together, grew up together and moved on. During those years there were happy and sad times. We laughed during the happy times and supported each other during the sad ones. But throughout those years Bernadette was one of the kindest, most caring and supportive people that I have ever known..
I knew Bernadette ever before she and her beloved Gerry came to Broadway. While I was doing my GP vocational training in St James Hospital there was a maternity unit and a paediatric unit. I worked in both. Bernadette was a midwife tutor. Suffice it is to say she was a brilliant nurse, a brilliant midwife and well loved and respected by her students.
We were good friends but there is one thing that I envied. That was her deep and lasting faith and especially her devotion to Pardre PIo. She made many visits to San Giovanni Rotondo in Italy. She always took back Mass offerings that she had said for my late husband Lexie when he was ill. We used to joke about me being a lost cause. But, she never gave up on me.
She will be very sadly missed.
