To all of Tom and Bernadette's family and extended family I offer my most sincere condolences on learning of Bernadette's sudden passing. I came to know Tom through the Ancestry website and I had the great pleasure of finally meeting himself and his wife Bernadette twice in their home at Foxrock. Though I knew them for only a short time, I came to count them amongst my dearest friends. May they rest together again in peace.

We got to know each other nearly fifty years ago when i came up from Galway on holidays to Celbridge at Christmas.She was a wonderful lady and all the good fun we had teasing her . So sad that Detta has moved on from us, but know that she will be so at peace to be back with her wonderful Tom. Detta was always very kind to me, probably too kind, but that was her nature like all the Gleeson relatives that I have ever met. My mother and Detta got to know each other really well over the last few years (through their own input) which was a nice bonus for us...I know that my mum is gutted too. Anyway Detta will always will be missed by the gang here down under. Cheers to a great lady. The Connollys, Perth.
