Bernie was a gift to humanity.
Full of fun, kindness and warmth, she epitomised a wonderful blend of professionalism and common sense when dealing with so many personalities and under the day to day pressure of crewing an airline.
Many could have taken a leaf out of Bernie’s book.

Some of my favourite memories include her calls to say ‘stick on your Louise Kennedy number, transport is on its way’ as she imparted the details of whichever Transatlantic flight awaited us.

Bernie was a joy to talk to when checking in for a flight. I will never forget her kindness to me when my Dad who lived in the USA died back in 2005. My condolences to all Bernie's family. Bernie you will never be forgotten, a true Lady.

Bernie was the kindest, most beautiful soul who wrapped us all up in cotton wool @ work. She protected us in hard times after the loss of Family members! And she supported us in good times. We had such great respect for her and she made work fun.

I always remember ringing her in Crew Control in the middle of the night to tell her I couldnt go to work as my Mother was in intensive care! She had work sorted within 10 seconds, and she rang me back a day later just to see if i was ok.

Bernie was "An Anchor" to everybody in AerLingus expecially those of us working at In flight services, and she will be forever remembered with the greatest of respect.
