My sincere condolences to you Sarah & all of your family on the sad passing of your sister Bernie. May she Rest in Peace

It is now that I learned about the death of Bernadette. I stayed in Bernadette’s B and B during the summer and felt so at ease there during my time because of how friendly and kind Bernadette was . She had a very laid back nature and was full of fun . We met her in the pub later that night and she spoke to us the following morning and said “ had ye a good night last night lads and I hope the head isn’t too sore ” and laughed. I remember her sitting in the pub having a drink on her own and at one stage , I wanted to invite her over for a drink but I said I’d leave it as I am sure that was her routine . There was something so endearing about her. I hope she is at peace now .

Bernie hosted 20 of us, on the June Bank Holiday 2024 for my stag and we had the best time. She was amazing craic, met us later in the pub and was full of fun. The following morning she told us “come back for a jar and a dance anytime”. Great memories and condolences to all her family and friends.

Difficult for me a visitor to the beautiful Inis Oirr that Bernie has departed this life.
