Thanks for minding me so well in Whitehall and making sure my Uniform was Spotless !!!!!.when I heard of Bernie’s passing I was Sad and went for a walk on looking up I saw a bright Twinkling Star high in the Sky my prayer was Get ready meet Bernie at the gate and look after Her .

We were so fond of her and have lots of happy memories with her when she visited the station in her retirement. A lady in every sense. You will be missed. Rest In Peace Bernie.

Bernie was one in a million. She welcomed us into her family with open arms and was always so generous, kind, and considerate to us. Most of all she was great craic, always had a good word for everyone and you could be guaranteed you would leave the house with something in your hands. We were privileged to have known her and what beautiful words little Thomas and Donna spoke about you. Every word being so true. It is so sad to hear about the passing of Bernie. She was unique. She played many roles in her working life at Whitehall. She looked after people, had a wonderful holistic attitude and was always leaning to the poor and needy. She treated everyone the same. She worked tirelessly and collected monies for several charities. She was full of fun and had some rare gatherings in for the cuppa tea. I met her a few times after her retirement. She adored the job at Whitehall and loved to talk about it. There are people who pass through your life that you will always hold dear and Bernie was one. I worked with Bernie in Sutton Nursing and she was a lovely gentle woman and a great singer, the patients and staff loved her ,may she rest in peace very sorry for all her family and friends she will be a great loss .

It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of our dear friend Bernie.
She was an important member of the staff at Whitehall Garda Station and was fondly regarded by all who served in Whitehall and those of us who visited on a regular basis. She treated us all as if we were family members.
She was a great woman, full of the joys of life and will be sadly missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her and in particular of being her friend. She was a special person.
