To Mary, Agnes, Nora and your families we offer our sincere sympathy. We count ourselves so lucky to have known Bernadette for so long and in my case all my life. Being in her company was always a pleasure. She had all the great qualities that Christians aspire to. She touched the lives of so many people with her gentleness, kindness, generosity and good humour. She had a lovely smile and genuinely cared for everybody, expressed in word and deed. She will always be so fondly remembered by those who knew her. She was a truly special person. Bernadette RIP.

Only just heard thos evening about the sad passing of Mrs Whelehan.I am so,so sorry to have missed her funeral.She was the gentlest of ladies and her warm,welcoming smile always made meeting her such a lovely experience.She was so devoted to Christy and her girls and was the epitome of what we all regard as a warm,Irish Mammy.
I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that Bernadette was loved and respected by so many.

Our deepest sympathy to Mary,Agnes,Nora and the extended Whelehan family on Bernadette passing. Through life you meet some wonderful people who make a lasting impression on you Bernadette and her late husbant Christy were 2 of those people. We have many fond memories of living next door to them in the Downs where there was a path way left in the fence between our two houses and there door was always open to pop in for a cup of tea and Bernadette home made cake and a friendly chat which was availed of many times. Bernadette in now reunited with her beloved husband Christy children,Thresa, Enda and Eithne and i know they will be looking down on us all as they cycle the pathways of heaven together. Rip Bernadette a truly wonderful lady.
