Uncle Barney was such a positive, kind, and wonderful uncle. He was my favourite dance partner – his waltz was second to none … he’d have won Strictly Come Dancing, hands down!
Barney you gave our family the best gift of all – you introduced Dad (Tom) to Mum (Eileen) when you were 16 years old, and for that I am forever grateful.

Just heard of Barneys passing on return from holiday. I first met Barney when he was a member of WORK Residents Association Committee many years ago. Even though we live near each other I hadn’t seen him for years til last year when I met him and he told me he was going to do a parachute jump for his 90th birthday! He was a gentleman. Condolences to all his family.

We were so sorry to hear of Barney's sad passing. Condolences to Rita and the extended Byrne family. Barney was a loyal and dedicated member of the Guinness Pensioner's Committee for many years. He was a reliable person to get the job done, just put his shoulder to the wheel and got on with the task. A true gentleman, a kind word for everyone, he always made us feel welcome to the committee meetings, having tea/coffee available.
Barney you will be sorely missed, always remembered. May your gentle soul rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Barney,it was a pleasure to be in his company every month at our pensioners meetings, one of life's great characters. RIP Barney

God bless you Barney always loved the fun when we meet normally in the presence of Lynn and Tony we'd talk about people we knew from Guinness i especially loved the story about when you went before the board in Guinness for josling a brewer. make sure you give Tony a hug from us all.

Most welcoming to his fellow committee members when we would gather for the monthly meetings. Always made sure a cup of tea/coffee was provided, and of course parking spaces were available.
