Condolences to all on the loss of a phenomenal man. Bernard was an inspiration and a confidante to so many. He had a wonderful knack of making people feel so comfortable and like they fit in. He was such a warm and caring man, and he just loved people. He helped me no end, and was someone i loved seeing and listening to. You should all be so so proud of Bernard. It's strange to think that I never knew Bernard's surname whilst he was alive as, for us, he was simply known as Bernard from Cork. I first met Bernard when he turned up for an open meeting in London in the early 1990's. As he shared, I was mesmerised by his oratorical ability and his passion. He made recovery exciting!

As the years progressed I kept expecting his charisma to wane. It never did! It would be difficult to quantify just how many people he has helped over the years.

I'll remember him as a beautiful person whose every word I hung on. It was a privilege to have known you Bernard and you certainly deserve your eternal rest in heaven. 🙏🙏🙏
