So sorry to read of Bertie's death, and passing on my sympathy to Ena and Paddy, the Mc Givern, Mc Dermott and Hearty, OHanlon, being the gate keepers at George's Quay, a short distance up the line, before crossing the Metal Bridge, and neighbours, my late Husband Hughie had great time for him, and I remember he would be out with his wheelbarrow probably gathering up manure for his garden, while our 2 old hunter horses followed him around, in the sunshine, a man at peace with himself, may he now have eternal peace.

Rest in Peace Bertie, a quite and gentle Quay man who was the last living link in Dundalk to the Dundalk and Newry Railway having lived all his life in the Station House. Her was a pleasure to meet.
