Claire and Alicia, I only learnt today of Bernards sad passing. I first met Bernard when working in Glencairn and after many years our paths crossed again annually at the Dublin and Balmoral shows. We had great chats and his words and humour were so special. He was an exceptional horseman. May he rest in peace.

Dear Claire & Alicia, I am so sorry to hear of Bernard's death. He was so kind to me as a youngster when I first started working with the racehorses in Glencairn, and I learnt so, so much from him. We enjoyed his company so much, he was with us at the hunt less than two weeks ago with Dad following & he was in great spirits & the craic was great as usual in Bernard’s company.
Such a huge character who will be greatly missed. We are all so shocked & saddened by his passing. We will all miss him so much at the hunts.
My Daughter Lydia loved his quick wit too. She remembers him giving her advice before the hunt recently, Toes to heaven, heels to hell, sit tight & drive on!

I have so many amazing memories and stories of him which I still share to this day. He was a horse man through and through and an all round incredible person. I'm so sorry for your loss, he was one of a kind.

I’m so sorry for the incredible pain you must be feeling right now. Bernard was one in a million and I’m not quite sure what the world will be like without him.

I feel so lucky to have seen him again and been able to thank him for everything he has done for me since I started working for you guys…and hear him call me gimpy like old times!
