I only heard of Mr.Gearys passing yesterday. A brilliant musician and an integral part of Cabinteely C.S.
He was a kind and encouraging teacher. Condolences to his family from all the Carolan’s 🎶

Very sorry to hear of Bernard's passing, or 'Mr. Geary' as I knew him as a CCS student. Bernard was the first person to encourage me to go on a music stage and for that I'll be forever grateful to him. I fondly remember meeting him many years after school walking in Cabinteely Park where I told him what I'd been up to in music since school and he seemed genuinely proud. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Mr. Geary.

My sincerest condolences to Mandy and all of Bernard's family on Bernard's passing. I have very fond memories of working with Bernard on many productions in Cabinteely Community School where his formidable skill as a musician and musical director brought many a student to discover their previously unknown talents on the stage in St Angela's Hall. However, free from the stress of keeping the show on the road, so to speak, many students and colleagues will remember his utter joy and pleasure at the shows' after parties when he would sit at the piano in A10, surrounded by all the cast, and run through every song from the production, with his wonderful engaging smile and his lilting Cork voice.... boy, did he make that piano hop...! His influence on generations of CCS students and his colleagues is immeasurable and for that, we are eternally grateful. Rest in Peace, Bernard, with your beloved Leonora.

He and our late conductor Brian O'Dubhghaill got on so well.
Bernard was such a gentleman, generous with his time and patient.
His music and memory will live on in the hearts of the girls from Cantairi Óga Átha Cliath (Rathmines)
