We are deeply saddened at the unexpected passing of our dear neighbour and friend of many years, Bernard. A true gentleman in every way. Our sympathy to his niece Maureen and nephew Hugh. Bernard had so many wonderful attributes, kind, respectful, great chef, cared for animals and always loved nature and predicting the weather. He spoke fondly of his time working in the merchant navy and loved visiting many countries during that time. May you rest in peace Bernard. You will be greatly missed and forever in our thoughts.

So sorry to hear about Brian. Kmew him all my life. His mum and my mum were great friends. Spoke to him on Tuesday last when he was in Bantry.
Told him Id ring on Christmas day. which I did but no answer. I'll miss our chats.

Rest in peace Bernard, you have been a part of our family for as long as I can remember and you were a true friend to us all. We will all miss your kindness, humility and sense of humour. You will forever be in our thoughts.

Bernard was a joyful, gentle man. Each time we’d meet he always approach with a smile on his face followed by a brief comment, and he would then laugh at his own statement. A great guy who will be truly missed. I know he made it to heaven.
