Bernard - I can't believe you are gone! My deepest condolences to Bernard's family.
I sat across the desk from Bernard for years as we started our careers as sales support clerks for the Leinster branch of Life Association of Scotland later Life Association of Ireland and then Hibernian Life & Pensions Ltd (Aviva).
Bernard was a great guy and we had some great times then back in the 80s. I was a grooms man at his wedding to Sinead.
We lost touch sadly over the years. I saw him last at his 50th birthday party.
Remembered with love Bernard - May you rest in peace! Derek

A one of a kind shining light has extinguished before his time .

Even though over 18 years we shared many social outings together, , we have regrets that we did not spend even more time in Bernards company .

His laugh was infectious and his positivity was memorable . We are glad we wished each other a Happy Christmas recently .

On my list of people to aspire to, Bernard was in the top 3 and still is . All we can hold onto is that we were lucky to have known him and luck to be on his friends contact list . His life though short , was worth every year .

He will be remembered not forgotten .

Our thoughts are with Keila , all his family and those who were extremely lucky to know him .

Your friends
— Jack & Louise Mc Daniel

I can't really say much more than the wonderful words that have been already expressed by so many, I can only add and say I had the pleasure to have met Bernard just over a year ago, I say met first because when you met Bernard you could see that twinkle in his eye from the minute you met him.

I then had the pleasure to work with him and get to know him, no matter how small of a capacity but that is were you see how rare and special he really was. He would always find the joy in every situation, he would always make you smile and laugh no matter what.

Bernard was a wonderful, positive, generous and kind gentleman that always believed in you and will be so sadly missed.
