I first got to know Bernard when we both worked in Bandon in the mid-fifties. It was the beginning of a lifelong friendship which I have always treasured. Bernard was a sincere and very genuine person with an a lively sense of humour.
He is now reunited with his beloved Irene, for all eternity, in the presence of their Creator.
