I was so sad to hear of Bernie's death. Many happy memories of living next door all those years ago in Hoggs Hill Lane. The loveliest of neighbours and good friends to Mum and Dad. Much love to Joan, Paul, Joanne and children. RIP Bernie.

A lovely man with whom we have fond memories you will be missed Uncle Bernard. Our thoughts and love are with Auntie Jo and family.

Having many fond memories of working and socialising, including our wedding celebrations (1991), with him, it's with sadness we learned of the death of your beloved Bernard. A gentleman to the core, Bernard's Fool's Day spoofs in The Avondhu raised many an eyebrow and hilarity over the years! Our favourite, spaghetti growing in Ballyhooly, embellished with pictures and the late Ned Duggan! Upon well-earned retirement, his annual well-researched and informative articles with appropriate photographs in The Avondhu Christmas Specials were excellent and eagerly looked forward to, especially in west Waterford. Bernard will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by many. Slan agus beannacht, Bernard. May he rest in eternal peace in God's heavenly kingdom, reunited with dearly departed family and friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis .
