It came as a great shock to learn of Bernard's passing. Only recently, we were delighted when Bernard popped in for a cuppa and a chat. He was the same courteous, fun and gentle person who we grew to know and love since both families arrived in Park Lawn in 1977.
Our sincerest condolences to Bernard's family on their sad loss. May he now rest in peace.

I'm very sorry for your loss, as Ben was a gentleman and a harmless soul. I last seen him 3 weeks ago and am sorry I couldn't help him out of his situation. The only comfort is he isn't in pain anymore. Again I'm very sorry that yous have to go through another passing in your family.
Condolences to Bens family and friends, taken to young may he rest in peace.
Very shocked and saddened to hear of "beany's" sudden and unexpected passing. No more genuine belly laughs on the back of the 130,that and his lanky demeanor around Clontarf forever missed by me and so many others. Although I wasnt familiar with his family, I dont think I ever had a conversation with him that didnt somehow mention and include his much loved daughter. I offer my sincere condolences to all his family members. Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis.

I was so sorry to hear of Bernards passing. He came to James' funeral and made us all laugh with his stories of their childhood together and the mischief that they got up to. He was so warm and brought with him, a long forgotten reminder of the lovely boys they once were. I am thinking of you all at this very sad time. Deepest condolences to all who loved Bernard and may he rest now, in peace, with those who went before him.
I consider myself very lucky to have been a friend of Ben's for 35 + years. He was a very gentle and loving friend, a real gentle giant. I will miss him greatly.
RIP Ben

We are so sorry for your loss Jennifer, Alison, Erica and extended family.
Ben was a lovely, caring and very funny next door neighbour to us for 16 years in Park Lawn. We loved the chats especially with Mary too, they were a very entertaining double act.
He was very lucky to have been so well looked after by her and then you all after she passed. I hope their reunion brings comfort although I can almost hear Mary saying "Bernard, what are you doin' here?"
RIP Ben.
