Sincere sympathy to all the family.So so very sorry just heard of Barney,s death today,he was a lovely quiet neighbour and I remember him calling to me and attending the Mass when my husband died. May he rest in peace.Maureen 85, Stillorgan Wood.

We will miss our chats with Barney as he passed our house on his way to the village. A very gentle person.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Bernard's passing. And many thanks to his niece Geraldine for letting me know.
For forty years he was a much cherished colleague in The Valuation Office, Dublin and we also shared the work for many years covering Galway City.
My wife Maura met him on several occasions and was very impressed by his kind character.
