So sorry to learn of the passing of Bernie deepest sympathy to you Margo Simon and Julie. He loved his golf and I was lucky to be part of a regular 4 ball with himself Simon and Eddie Brennan every Saturday afternoon for many years up in Slade Valley and Simon on the phone checking for the dad how the Everton match was going happy happy memories I’m so sorry that I was unable to attend the funeral as we had a hospital appointment on the same morning. Bernard was an absolute gentleman.I have so many lovely memories of working with him in the early years of Lucan Educate Together N.S. He was always so courteous,kind and caring to Staff and children and was greatly loved by everyone in our school community. He will always have a special place in the hearts of all who have known and loved him .
