Just heard about the sad passing of Bernie. My sincere condolences to his wife Kathleen and Family. I worked in Amdahl for many years including a few years reporting to Bernie and he was without doubt the best Leader of people I have ever met. Some great memories also from our trip to the US many years ago.

To Paddy and Lisa and all of your family. We were saddened to hear of the death of your dad. You are in our thoughts.

I had the great pleasure of playing mid field with Bernie in the Duhallow final against Castlemagner in 1959. He was a reliable man in that game. He minded one half of the field and I minded the other and I didn't have to worry about his side of things because you could depend on him to do the job he was asked to do. We then advanced and won the county that year. Special memories indeed of Bernie.
