Bernie shared a unit with my Mother Monica, and was always soo kind and caring when she would see my mother upset.
I loved meeting Bernie everyday, and she would always have a welcome smile and a kind word. She was genuinely a beautiful person.

I have only just seen the death notice for your Mum, Mrs Kearney, and it filled me with deep sadness. I remember Bernie from when I was a boy growing up in St. Brendan's Road!

Bernie was a neighbour to my uncles, Timmie and Paddy Mathews and aunt Kathleen. I remember going around the houses in Faranree with her late husband Christy, collecting money for either a charity or football pools. Whenever we returned with the money, your mother would get me to eat and by the time I had scoffed the choice victuals she kindly offered me, I would leave the house stuffed like a turkey cock!

She was a delightful lady: kind, genteel and so helpful and supportive to all her neighbours. I offer my deepest condolences to all her children, family and friends. Her kindness and generosity never left me and it was a singular privilege to know Bernie and her family. God bless you all. Rest in peace Bernie and thank you!
