Today we said goodbye to my mother in law. This strong woman, who remained dignified and independent until the end. She always began her sentences with a laugh, talked about all subjects, even the slightly risqué ones 😉, loved the pleasures of life more than anything: her husband madly, her children clumsily but certainly, traveling, freedom, a good glass of wine, parties... she asserted her right to be a free woman.

Betty, I loved you deeply and sincerely for over 16 years, and I will miss you terribly, my little mother-in-law.
I wish from the bottom of my heart that you find yourself in the arms of your Nick, your fella, as you used to say. I alternate between tears and laughter when I think of you. You were a great woman, and I am proud and honored to have shared a part of the journey with you! We will see each other again!

Even though we didn't speak the same language, we always understood each other. You radiated deep kindness and quiet strength, and I immediately felt how special you were.

I will never forget the moment I showed you the engagement ring I wanted to give Camille and the gesture you made with it to bring us luck. It was simple, but full of meaning! A memory I will treasure.
