Bill O'Connell

I have just heard with shock and sadness of the death of Bill, RIP. I have great memories of working with Bill in College Street. He was kind and generous with his time and advice. Most of all he had a very positive disposition and could see humour in any situation. One never walked away from having a chat with Bill without having a laugh and thinking the world was a better place. Deepest sympathy to Eileen and family at this sad and difficult time.

I have known Bill since his days in the Munster & Leinster Bank in the 1960’s. Our paths crossed on many occasions throughout our careers in AIB and thereafter. He was the best of company and would always leave you smiling. I am deeply saddened by his sudden demise and will miss his charm and good humour. To Eileen, Cora and Helen my sincere condolences. I have only fond memories of working with Bill in AIB Dalkey. He was a brilliant & kind Manager, a one off, whom I both respected & admired.
