Sincere sympathy to all Bills family and friends. I have fond memories of him when we both worked in Dundrum. R.I.P Bill
From the American side sincere condolences to Mary and our second cousins - William, Neville and Ruth and their families. I first met "Cousin" Bill in 1973 when I stayed in Ireland for a month at Christmas on my way back from a college semester in Spain. He and Mary came to visit his sister Pauline and the O'Callaghan and Connell cousins during their honeymoon in New York in 1975. He always had a soft side to him and was a genuine person in his words and deeds. I last met up with him and Mary at Glasnevin Cemetery, the summer before Covid hit, and we enjoyed a good chat. Mary was busy making another baby sweater - in anticipation of the arrival of another of Ruth and Gavin's boys! A great life lived - may he rest in peace! Sincerely, Cousin Barbara
We are so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Bill. Deepest Condolences to Mary and all the family. May he rest in Peace
I am sad to hear about the passing of Bill and my sincere condolences to all the families and friends of the true gentleman.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Bill when we were both working on the Telephone System in Botswana,Southern Africa. He was a great work colleague and was liked by all. Bill was very imaginative with the social aspects and arranged card games and we played a football game against the local staff which was cut short due to “dust storm”
Bill (and Mary when she visited) were wonderful company on nights out.
May he rest in peace

Ruth - so saddened to hear this news. I knew just how treasured he was to all of you (and you, the favourite child!) but especially your boys.
I couldn't be at the church to celebrate his life with you all but did watch online and he would have been so proud of each and every one of you.
It really was a loving tribute to an amazing Dad and Grandad.
Rest in Peace Bill.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Bill's passing. We were first cousins on my mother's side, and I have strong memories of the 2 of us kicking a ball outside our Granny's house when he was about 15 or 16. I also worked with Bill when I moved to the IT Department in P&T. He was very supportive of me as I sought to find my feet in a new work environment. I last spoke to Bill just before Christmas when we talked about hooking up next time he was down in Cork. Regrettably it wasn't to be. My sincere condolences to Mary, Ruthie, William, and Neville.
