Another sad day hits our town when we lost one of the old crew. Billy was a gentle giant. I remember him in the little bar in the old arms hotel where the craic was ninety Billy Bridget Dan and a few more enjoying each others company over a drink and a song. Manys the day I watched him jump in and out of his truck a giant of a man always on the go but with a smile. I often seen him bring a meeting to order when he spoke .... Not often but always measured and accurate. When Billy spoke you listened.
My sympathies go to Bridget his wife and life long best friend, Priscilla his daughter and to his extended family. Covid19 has denied this giant the send off he deserved but will never deny us our memories of our gentle giant
Rest easy in heaven my friend.
