We would like to offer our sincere condolences to Billy's daughters Ann, Rita and Patricia as well as his son Seamus, in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchild, his neighbours and many friends over their very sad loss. Billy undertook Trojan work in our camogie club over the years, for which we will be forever in his debt. He truly epitomised the phrase a life well lived. It is with fondness I remember the time in 2007 my son Grant and I spent in the pub in Kilkenny with Billy. It was emotional to spend an afternoon with Billy with whom I shared a great grandfather. My condolences to your family from New Zealand.

Billy was so kind and helpful with my family tree research which linked my great-grandmother, Ellen Croke, to Billy's family. It was lovely to meet and stay with Billy and Bridget in 1997 and meet Rita, Patricia and Ann and visit the area of my ancestor who left there in 1873 to come to New Zealand. Other cousins have also visited and loved meeting and spending time with Billy. He was always welcoming and shared the craic with us. He will be fondly remembered with much affection. Please keep in touch with the "down under" family. Rest in peace Billy, reunited with Bridget.
